DiveStar 10k
The DiveStar 10k torch produces 10,000 lumens of light. It projects this light in a uniform and consistent manner over a massive 120 degree angle, ensuring fantastic visibility and clarity of colour in the direction of the torch. It is perfect for underwater inspection teams, underwater photography and video or the diving enthusiast who simply wants a more rewarding dive. The light intensity of the DiveStar torch is similar to that of a photography flash, or a 500W tungsten light bulb. All this in a portable, handheld, compact package. At full power the DiveStar 10k torch outputs 2000 lux at 1 meter and 120 lux at 4 meters. It can also be fitted with a 10 degree reflector lens to extend the throw. The technology used in the DiveStar torch means it gives you incredible efficiency. It is drawing only 20% of the power needed to provide the same light output for its tungsten cousin. This means incredible battery life which means more time diving and less time charging. In this way the torch is also incredibly eco-friendly. The intensity of the light is at its blazing best underwater. After falling in love with underwater photography, I found myself constrained by the current standard of diving torches. They either provided very little illumination or provided a strong beam of illumination, neither of which was very conducive to underwater photography. DiveStar is my answer to this hole in the market. It provides a fantastic and consistent spread of light meaning a beautiful even coverage of light over a large 120 degree field. It is also a robust and reliable unit which you can rely on. It makes underwater photography a delight and makes post-processing a thing of the past. Whilst the power of the DiveStar torch really finds its niche deep underwater where the darkness is most overwhelming, the torch can safely be used out of water at 50% strength providing 5000 lumens of light for up to 3 hours on a full charge. As the torch is completely portable, it’s uses are only limited by your imagination. It could be used for camping, as emergency lighting, for emergency services, perimeter lighting and much more. Going cave diving? The DiveStar torch can operate for a full 110 hours, that’s 4 days, at 150 lumens making it the only torch you need! Features of DiveStar 10k light.
